Sodium Dodecyl Sulfate (SDS) is an anionic surfactant solution with applications in SDS-PAGE protein analysis and nucleic acid purification. It is the most commonly used detergent in protein purification and electrophoretic separation of proteins and lipids. And used as a protein denaturing agent (PDA) during both extraction procedures and SDS-PAGE.
This product is a concentrated stock solution consists of 10% (w/v) SDS which should be diluted appropriately with distilled, deionized water or equivalent to its final working concentration. At low temperatures the SDS solution may precipitate; warm at 37°C for complete dissolution.
